Katherine Lee is a senior at Bryn Mawr College studying Computer Science at Haverford College. Previously, Katherine worked as a theatre performer, journalist, and designer training in musical theatre at the top levels whilst also pursuing writing as a freelance columnist and social media expert for a number of boutique theatre websites. It was in her senior year of high school, that Katherine's interest crossed from the world of theatre into the world of technology.
Since then, Katherine has pursued technology vigorously, seeking to integrate technology and creativity in projects and create meaningful somethings which use technology to foster positive change. Her main fields of interest are user experience and project management, as well as both front and back end development especially on projects and product related to computer science education, artificial intelligence, non-profit technology, accessibility technology, and security.
Though Katherine no longer pursues performance, she still utilizes her performance background in front of the classroom. Outside of her studies, Katherine is a teaching assistant for four different levels of Introductory Computer Science at Bryn Mawr and Haverford Colleges. Katherine also spent last summer at AT&T with Girls Who Code as an Undergraduate Instructor. She has experience teaching Python, Java, and C++ as well as game design, app development, robotics and web design.
